Everyone is Welcome!
Una Goccia per il Mondo wanted to do something for underprivileged boys and girls (orphans, poverty-stricken, illiterates, etc.) aged 16 to 22 years old and after careful consideration decided to build the Saat School, an English and Computer school where students attend .
The main reasons behind this decision were:
We have several other ideas/projects but we are currently focusing our efforts in securing enough funds/donors that will allow the school to continue providing free education opportunities to young disadvantaged Cambodians. Once that objective is achieved, then will proceed with new activities.
We welcome any form of help (volunteering, donations in cash or kind, purchase of our products/services, …) and if you think you can contribute to our activities do not hesitate to contact us.
Our current project
The project takes its origin from realizing that most of the youth cannot access to the job market created by the high influx of tourist due to the lack of required skills.
Our students come from poor families living in the countryside and have no access to adequate schooling. English and computer classes are provided entirely free of charge and the funds required to do so come both from donations and other activities (i.e. social enterprises) that we created in Siem Reap.
The Saat School mission is to provide young disadvantaged Cambodians with the opportunity to build a future for themselves and their families. The students attend English language and computer lessons gaining the mandatory skills required to secure a better paid job.
